Playlists

Many videos on The Roving Naturalist fall into some sort of common category, so I've organized them into playlists! Below you'll find all of my current playlists, including playlist title, playlist link, titles of all of the videos included in the playlist, thumbnails for all the videos in the playlist, and a description for each playlist. Enjoy!
If you'd rather just scroll through all of my videos, you can find them here.

Environmental Ed 101
Don't know much about environmental education or why it's important? This is a great place to start! Sheryl starts out by sharing her personal experiences with environmental ed as both a student and a teacher. In the next videos, she explains what environmental education is, different strategies for how it's taught in schools and informal settings, and some of her favorite ways to promote it.

Go on an adventure with Sheryl - or maybe two or three! Join Sheryl as she hikes, bikes, and skis her way around the world, exploring new places and enjoying old haunts. These videos are chock full of spontaneity: surprise encounters, stories, and TONS of species identification and fun facts about the environment. This is where we put the "roving" in The Roving Naturalist!

Are you curious about what graduate school is like? Do you want to know more about how biologists conduct research? How does someone even become a biologist? Sit in on interviews with early career biologists! Sheryl asks the important questions to learn about the different paths people take to becoming biologists, how different people experience graduate school, and how scientists do research!
The "Explain Yourself" series gives early-career biologists a chance to practice their science communication skills in a relaxed interview with Sheryl. Learn about their research and see that scientists come in all kinds! If you or someone you know would be an awesome guest on Explain Yourself, send us an email!
